Ideas Worth Spreading About Streaming a Live Event

Yesterday was a joyous day here in Israel. TED came here to our small province in the embodiment of TEDxTelAviv. If there’s anything to say about this event right now is that while Sagee (my colleague from Video Over Enterprise) was there in the flesh, I WASN’T INVITED! So you should definitely expect a rant post. With such a predicament, I had to tap into this event over the internet in a streaming session set up by the TEDxTelAviv gods. (read more...)

The Communication Continuum: Unified Communications & Social Media on a Collision Course

Earlier this month we held the RADVISION Unified Communication Summit here in Tel-Aviv. Somehow, I was given the task of giving a closing key-note presentation with the words “Social” and “Media” in it. Initially, I hated the task – I always regard “social media” presentations as boring and a bit exaggerated. I already made a point or two regarding my obsession with the software vs. hardware debate (and I probably have a few more about the subject somewhere). What Would You Do With 1 Gbps At Your Disposal?

This is a question that Koreans will be faced in 2012. Boy, would I LOVE to be Korean. Last week, Om Malik wrote about Korea’s plans to boost their internet infrastructure to 1 Gbps by 2012. After a raised eyebrow on my part, and serious craving on relocating to Korea, I took the time to ask our sales director in Korea to check for me, a bit with his friends, how do they actually use the internet and see what (read more...)

Seminar Impressions: Never Plan a Lunch for 12:45

Two weeks ago, we had our annual seminar for developers in Israel. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. I have been a part of this “muppet show” for the fourth year now, and if there’s anything that makes me happy it is the fact that each year we have a lot more demo kits that we install and show during the seminar. I was surprised we had less problems with the setup part – (read more...)
