A few weeks ago I came across a global survey, initiated by Blue Coat Systems Inc., claiming that 73% of enterprises are putting greater emphasis on using high quality video conferencing instead of traveling. I already covered the video conferencing vs. air travel in the past, but this is very encouraging. There has been much talk, too much IMHO, about video conferencing reducing the need to travel, eliminating millions of Airline seats in 2-3 years.
